Moorten Botanical Gardens in Palm Springs is tucked away between two main roads that run through the resort town. It’s a family run cactus garden with meandering trails and a spectacular backdrop for Libby and Noah’s “Secret Garden” wedding.
Friends and family from across the country came together for an intimate celebration on an unseasonably cool day in May that began on the grass outside an adobe building among old cactus at Moorten and then continued on to a perfect plated French dinner under the stars in the gazebo at Le Vallauris. Wine flowed and the dancing ending with fireworks and sparklers on the driveway.
Friends from childhood ushered the next era of #Happilyeverhiggens!
The day before the wedding it was 109 degrees, so Libby and Noah were prepared for the guests. Cool towels, fans and bottled water are a really nice addition to Palm Springs Weddings in the Spring and Summer.
So many beautiful spots to take bridal portraits at Moorten Botanical Gardens!
I love a fun bridal party!!
The dog stays in the wedding by the way!
After the ceremony, the party continued at Le Vallauris, an incredible French restaurant in downtown Palm Springs. Great food, great wine and great friends. What else do you need?
At Le Vallauris, instead of a wedding cake, you get to lop the top off of a Croque Em Bouche with a sword!
Even with a tiny dance floor, this party went all night. At the end, we got to send off Mr. and Mrs Higgins with sparklers!
Congratulations Noah and Libby! #happilyeverhiggens
